Excellent sleeping weather

The cool and rain just make for ideal sleeping conditions. I was completely out mere moments after turning out my light last night. Desmond either always goes nuts right around 4:30 a.m. or I start slowly coming awake because my body knows it's almost that time, and I become more sensitive to the kitten rompings. I had to learn how to sleep through them out of self-defense.

Yesterday I had to be in the general vicinity of Bowie/Upper Marlboro for some client-site stuff, so I timed it such that I could then take my lunch with my Mom and Dad. That was fun. We're heading out of a period of various trips and things where we hardly saw each other, and now we're entering the Intense Family Togetherness part of the year.

Dinner with the Theists and Desmond-visiting and Pushing Daisies-watching went well last night, even if I couldn't stop yawning by the end. Fortunately we're all early risers so it was no problem to end the evening early. Desmond was insane yesterday. I blame the change in weather. He'd never really encountered an umbrella before yesterday, and he was fascinated when I brought mine in and set it up in the foyer. It wasn't open, but standing on end. Later I heard a clatter from that direction and figured he'd knocked it over. But no, when I got up to go out to meet T. and C. for dinner...no umbrella. Desmond had dragged it under the bed, as it turned out.

Oh kitten. The adventure never ends!
There are some new pictures of Oz and Desmond, too:
