Human-powered helicopter breaks record with 50-second flight

A team at the University of Maryland has blown away a long-standing (or long-hovering) record for human-powered flight. I saw Avatar again last night, this time in 3D. The 3D did add to the experience, I think, although it was also sometimes distracting -- often the subject would be in focus, but something in the very near foreground (for example, Sully's vlog camera) would be fuzzy, or something in the near background being fuzzy, and sometimes both.
