summer has been busy of course. Sunny days leading to fishing, swimming and other outdoor activites.
I managed to get two books read so here goes the reviews.
Ghost Story Dresden series novel: If you're not reading this series then there is clearly something very wrong with you! This book picks up after the ending of changes. Harry is now a ghost and must fight to save his friends in the world of the living. If you've been reading the series until now then you share my "holy shit!" reply when you're done with this book. Jim Butcher is an amazing story teller. His noir style mixed with humor and geek references is a delight to read. I can't wait for Cold Days to come out.
Retribution Dark Hunter series: Yeah yeah yeah i KNOW is a romance novel but it's a damn good one. Mordern romance novels have turned gothic and more interesting then just pure "oh my god i'm married to some bastard and i love his bother." to something i actually enjoy. Another amazing story teller Sherrilyn Kenyon. Her knowledge of various mythos is amazing and she has a good sense of humor. the setting is world where Apollo cursed his children the Apollite where cursed to die when they turned 27 (the age of his mistress they murdered) the Apollite's have found a way to live beyond that by taking the souls of humans becoming Daimons. In response Artemis offers a deal to the most skilled warriors who have died. Revenge against those that wronged them in exchange for service to her. They are called dark hunters and they fight. If you're unsure of this series read the short tale A Hard Days Night searcher Trust me after that short story you'll want to read more.
