I went birthday shopping :D
I totally forgot to mention, I went shopping on saturday. Last month's saturday.
It's important enough to be mentioned 'cuz there were books involved. :D
This is just about the only reason I like about having 10 million relatives. Well not 10 million, somewhere around the vicinity of 200. Well, if I actually counted all my aunts and uncles and their aunts and uncles, or rather their brother's and sisters, I'm sure the number would exceed 200.
Anyhow, Mom spends all the money they gift on clothes. The convo goes something like this:
Me: I don't need new clothes. My old ones fit me fine.
Mom: Yes, but they're all so faded. You must buy new ones * steers me into clothing store *
Me: But I don't nee- Oh look! That T-shirt has such an awesome quote. Can we buy that?
* 1 hour later *
Mom: I'm only taking 3. You can't take all of them.
That woman is entirely too cunning. :/
And then, we went to the bookstore, finally!
Bought 3 books -
1st - Time-Riders - Alex Scarrow.
Looks pretty interesting. It's about 3 teens and time-travel.... and I'll post a review sometime later, now that I've already read it.
2nd - Hunger games - Suzanne Collins
I'm as surprised as you are that I haven't read it. Not even till now, 'cuz my aunt said that it would be a birthday gift from her. So she took it with her. * Me = sad *
3rd - Just Friends - Sumrit Shahi
I'd wanted to read it for a while, the review ( at the back of the book) was so awesome! It sounded like a teenage rom-com. Turned out to be result of some guy who suddenly felt nostalgic and decided to pen down his thoughts and publish it. I'll post a better review later, but as for now, just... don't read it.
Well, I think I'm done. It's 2.10 in the morning and I think I'm in dire need of sleep.
Which reminds me, I'm writing this in LibreOffice. On Ubuntu. I will write a more painfully detailed post on that later.
