Two questions

My roommate is doing a project on portrayals of people of the Middle East in mainstream American film. She's sick of watching military movies; does anyone have recommendations? Maybe something in a romantic comedy? All the military ones get at the same terrorist stereotypes, so it would be interesting to see some more quotidian examples. So even something in, like, an Iranian sidekick -- the person doesn't have to be the main character and their portrayal doesn't have to be the focus of the movie.
