I am proud of being an American, unironically and unabashedly. I am pretty sure that has never happened before.
This is not an end, it's a beginning. It's a milestone, but that does not make it the end of the road by any means. I am excited for the future. I am excited to see what comes next, what we will do with his help and what he will do with ours. I don't believe this is happening. I'm sitting here in my room occasionally bursting out into sobs -- sobs of joy. I am really overwhelmed here. I was hanging out with some folks watching the Franken race and bemoaning the state of MN politics, which, BARACK OBAMA IS OUR MOTHERFUCKIN' PRESIDENT. I refuse to bemoan anything. I love this campus -- right at 11 (CST), a giant screaming mob broke out on one of the lawns, with everyone just jumping and hollering and cheering. People are still just running around cheering. McCain's speech reminded me of that he is actually a pretty good guy (but I'm so glad I don't have to be afraid of Sarah Palin anymore); Obama's was incredible. Again, I'm giddy with anticipation of what we and he will accomplish in the next four years.
FUCK YES.
good day,
awesome,
politics
