Today is my burfday.
Today has been awesome!
I woke up naturally to a husband cuddling me and a kitty biting my toes. It was a nice 9am wake up. I decided to lay in bed with the cat and playing with my iphone until I got up to make a Green Monster. A Green Monster is my new obsession. What is it? I'll tell you:
• 2 Cups of Spinach
• 1 banana
• 1.25 cups of Almond Milk
• 1 Tbsp of Organic Hemp Protein/Fiber Mix
• 1 Handful of either Strawberries and/or Blueberries
• A few ice cubes to thicken
Put it all in a blender until smooth and drink.
Yes, it is a smoothie made of spinach. It is to DIE FOR! I am in love with it. When I went hiking on Saturday I drank one at 7:30 am and I wasn't hungry until close to 1pm. Held me over very well. I am going to incorporate this into my daily eating. I realized I have 3 weeks to look cute for NY, 1 month to go hang out at the farm with my friends, 2.5 months until Vegas Bachelorette weekend and 3 months til Nancy's wedding. It's time to start cracking on the weight loss! My bridesmaid dress fits perfect and comfortable, but I could afford to lose weight and spend money on altering it since it needs to be hemmed anyway.
Anyway, I did have a piece of tres-leches cake from yesterday's family gathering but that was it.
My father-in-law spoiled me with $300 for my birthday! He's such a sweetheart <3 So I went and got some summery PJ's and random stuff for the home. We also went grocery shopping at the Vons by our new place and James loves how its on a hill and it's so scenic. We also went to Best Buy to get me one of these:

I am such a lucky gal! My husband just kept spoiling me all weekend. He also funded some Steve Madden gladiator shoes, some really sexy heels and a new dress. This was a shopping trip I took with Nancy when she took me to get dinner and drinks at El Torito on Friday. We talked about life and being 27 LOL I'm really glad to be where I am at my age and it's nice to know I am finally surround by people who really matter. We talked about marriage, pregnancies and family. I am so glad to have a friend who is on the same page as I am. I was talking to James about how before I get pregnant I am going on a major food cleanse - all organic. I don't want to be pumped of extra hormones from meat and preservatives. I also said I wanted to feed our baby as many all natural, all organic as possible and he couldn't agree more. I love how we share so many core values.
We also sang to the Beach Boys in the car all day.
Today has been a great day and I even went to spoil myself with a pedicure.
We just came back from dinner at Outback because I wanted steak.
"You're a sexy bitch" I think that's my cue to get off the computer LOL
