ONE SENTENCE... PLUS A FEW OTHERS: ANDERS KRAISE

Apr 19, 2011 06:42

#01 - Motion
Anders thinks Hawke casts his spells strangely, motioning just with his hand and not with his arms or whole body or even with his staff. It's fascinating.

#02 - Cool
When he mentioned a headache, he'd thought Hawke would press his temples with healing spells... not ice. Oddly enough, it did make him feel better. He'll admit, he purred. So what?

#03 - Young
Even if he claimed to be the older brother, Hawke acted like a kid sometimes. It was oddly... charming.

#04 - Last
When he was drained, Hawke leaned against him, squeezing his shoulders. His healing aura was this odd deep purple and it made him feel good. The last patients of the day always took the most.

#05 - Wrong
Blood magic was wrong. Merrill was wrong. Merrill was bad... but Hawke really didn't think so. If Hawke liked her, did that mean he was wrong?

#06 - Gentle
She'd cut herself to use blood magic! How dare he hold her hand like that! He did the same to patients, but still... that expression

#07 - One
He had to be a one man army. The other mages weren't strong enough, weren't tested. Hawke told him they'd be "one" together. He didn't get it, but Hawke was with him. He liked that.

#08 - Thousand
He'd kill that many and more to set the mages free. That many and so much more.

#09 - King
He was Ferelden, but he owed no loyalty, not when they worked so hard to keep the Circle in place. Hawke mentioned he was a Warden and Anders felt only slightly compelled. They'd made him get rid of his cat... bastards.

#10 - Learn
Hawke was quick. He learned everything Anders had to teach and more. He was a sponge and he improved on things too. It was... uncanny.

#11 - Blur
"I used Haste." Anders couldn't believe his ears. Hawke had used "haste" as a child to finish chores. He used magic like there was no limit.

#12 - Wait
"Why would you care, don't you practice blood magic too?" he'd sniped. "Possession shouldn't be forced Anders... you're judging us all the same hm?" "Well that's not -." "Wait, what's that sound? That's the sound of you backpedaling." Merrill giggled.

#13 - Change
"I suppose there are academic ...merits." he admitted, Hawke whispering in his ear. He sort of lost track of things after that.

#14 - Command
"YOU WILL NOT STEER HIM FROM HIS PATH!" Justice boomed. "CEASE YOUR WHISPERS AND SEDUCTIONS MAGE!"

#15 - Hold
Hawke was figuring it out. He could make Justice stay as long as he needed. Kissing Anders's possessed lips tasted no different that usual, but the Fade was there... the Fade... it left him...breathless and wanting.

#16 - Need
When Anders came back to himself, he was more than aroused, though Hawke seemed disappointed at... something. His bit his lip, vying for control as Justice whispered in the back of his mind "not to trust Hawke". He stayed buried around Hawke, stayed far from the surface of his consciousness like... he was afraid.

#17 - Vision
He'd blocked many of his Darkspawn dreams, but going down to the Deep Roads brought them back full scale. Brood Mothers... the horde... why couldn't he dream of Kittens and Rainbows?

#18 - Attention
When he gave it to Merrill he wanted it back. But he seemed... infatuated. Hawke wasn't serious about him.

#19 - Soul
"Well we could get it out of there..." Anders didn't know why Hawke liked talking about Justice when they were... together. "But it'd leave you open. I'm not good enough yet, let's wait." Anders knew it'd take more than taking Justice out of him to fix his soul.

#20 - Picture
Hawke and Merrill looked perfect together. Perfect.

#21 - Fool
Hawke wasn't serious and didn't want him, he should stop wasting his time.

#22 - Mad
"Don't make that face..." "You're not serious. Don't toy with me, it's not something I -." Hawke sighed in his ear. "You can stay mad... or undress me." Anders decided not to stay mad.

#23 - Child
Really? Hawke thought it was a good idea to let Feynriel go to the Tevinters? Not because of some higher purpose or freedom for mages, but because he thought Dream Walking was awesome and Feynriel would totally come "Dream teach" him someday? Anders wondered about Hawke's mental age daily.

#24 - Now
Surely Hawke could see how terrible blood magic was? Surely? With his mother slain?

#25 - Shadow
Hawke wasn't the only one cast in shadow. There were things... to be done.

#26 - Goodbye
He'd almost killed a girl. He was losing himself. He'd almost killed a girl.

#27 - Hide
There were places besides the clinic, he could leave, he could go to those places...

#28 - Fortune
He didn't have any money to leave, but he did have... his manifesto. He could leave it to the young mages!

#29 - Safe
"Stop worrying." Hawke said, slipping him the key. "Stop..." Hawke made him feel safe. He just did. ...he just did.

#30 - Ghost
The Grey Wardens... in Kirkwall. He was glad they couldn't stay and help. He didn't want to be anywhere near them...

#31 - Book
"Yes, I did put them in all of your books -stop that!" Hawke looked at Anders and began chucking books into his fireplace. "Don't!" "I've already read them and your manifesto, what's the point!" "WHY ARE YOU INSANE?" Hawke wiggled his eyebrows, grabbing books and shaking them out, his manifesto leaflets falling to the ground. "You love it."

#32 - Eye
Hawke's eyes were light blue, maybe white blue. Like hot lightning, like thunder he threw from his hands. He loved it.

#33 - Never
He'd probably never stop loving Hawke... even if in the end, he'd hurt him.

#34 - Sing
He knew the words to the Chant of Light and sang it while he made himself busy in the Chantry. Hawke was probably snarking the Grand Cleric right now...

#35 - Sudden
He wouldn't need possessions. He'd give them away. ...why wouldn't anyone take them? Why was everyone worried?

#36 - Stop
Hawke shook him. "Get a hold of yourself!" he leaned in, "It's coming, okay? Tell Justice to fucking relax... we're working right? Stop freaking out, don't do anything crazy!" Anders just nodded, letting the younger man kiss him. He wished he could stop.

#37 - Time
It'd been so long since he first came to Kirkwall, since he first met Hawke. It'd been so long... it was almost time...

#38 - Wash
He primarily snuck into Hawke's home to... well, bathe. He was sorely lacking hot water and towels and soap in Darktown. Plus, washing everyday actually made his hair look blonde and not whatever else it looked like all gross and oily.

#39 - Torn
He wanted to tell, but Justice said no to. Hawke called him moody, he was spending more time with Merrill. He had to see it through...

#40 - History
Today would be the day. Today... would be the day.

#41 - Power
It knocked people flat and sent shockwaves through all of Kirkwall. He didn't know it was be so glorious.

#42 - Bother
Innocent people, Kirkwall Justice, Right of Annullment. Who cared? He was in. He was done. He was history, he'd be a Martyr, he'd be... forgiven? Wait, no, that's not the plan!

#43 - God
The Maker didn't care. And if he did, he was nothing more than a do nothing like Elthina. They deserved to be together.

#44 - Wall
The Templars lined up, swords and shields ready. They lined up too, electricity snaking over Hawke's body. They didn't know what they were in for.

#45 - Naked
Being over zealous with fire spells usually left Hawke slightly toasted and naked. Luckily, there were robes all over the Gallows.

#46 - Drive
The confrontation with Meredith just seemed to spur Hawke on. Anders could admit it made him feel less afraid.

#47 - Harm
She's stabbed Merrill. Run her through. And that was when Anders actually saw what Blood Magic could do. He tended to Merrill best he could and watched Hawke turn living Templars against Meredith and as she cut them down, drain their blood power to fuel  his magic. He may as well have been a thunder demon, because what he did to Meredith next, if that didn't kill her, she would certainly be weakened, idol or no.

#48 - Precious
Hawke didn't really care that they won, he held Merrill to him. She was all right, mostly. Anders knew his craft, but he rocked over her, the Dalish mage pale and delirious.

#49 - Hunger
He gave her his power. It's like her body was thirsty for it. It could kill Hawke so Anders gave him His power.

#50 - Believe
Everything would be all right. Anders knew that, inside. Let Kirkwall burn, let the world burn. Let it burn so mages could be free. They would make it right. He knew it.

Anders was taken in by Kraise Hawke's charming, boyish style. He liked experimenting with magic, he liked learning things. He even tried to learn from Tal Vashoth Saarebas, to very bad results, to maximize his electric magic ability. Everything was on the table with him and he accepted everything. He accepted Anders. He really wanted to accept Justice as Anders came to learn that he'd been speaking with the spirit, trying to see if he could body jump.

His attitudes towards blood magic changed primarily because of Hawke, though he still saw Merrill as a danger. And he loved him. He knew Hawke loved Merrill, but he loved Hawke. And they made it work. Hawke gave him a personal freedom,  opened his mind. Made him realize Freedom for Mages was more than just destroying Circles, bt so much more.
