ONE SENTENCE... PLUS A FEW MORE: KRAISE HAWKE

Apr 19, 2011 05:50

#01 - Walking
He strolled or strutted, he didn't walk. Carver hated it because he said it made him stand out. He didn't care, he knew the ladies liked it, even if they never said so.

#02 - Waltz
He could dance. If he was drunk enough. Once Mother had tried to show him some noble dance. He'd been fifteen and a lot of awkward. Ladies liked dancing though, so he made sure to try again when he wasn't all clumsy and limby.

#03 - Wishes
Sometimes, he wished Bethany were here instead of Carver because Carver was a little ass and there was no one to break them up now when they fought.

#04 - Wonder
He wondered if Merrill had tattoos anywhere else on her body.

#05 - Worry
He worried Merrill would slap him if he asked.

#06 - Whimsy
Merrill asked him if he had markings anywhere else on his body. When he asked if she'd like to check she giggled and he felt really good inside.

#07 - Waste/Wasteland
Merrill and Fenris didn't like the Bone Pit. They could feel the wrong. Anders could feel the wrong too, but Hawke noticed the elves were particular to it. He told Merrill he'd never bring her back and she told him that it was fine and that she'd pray.

#08 - Whiskey and rum
It was expensive, but Hawke liked to drink. So did Isabela. Why couldn't he have always had a friend like her?

#09 - War
Just because thins were so horrid when Carver went off didn't mean he had to keep taking it out on them. No one told him to run off... Even still, Hawke was right by his brother's bedside at night when he awoke gasping for air and muttering. He didn't know what Carver had seen but he was... sorry.

#10 - Weddings
Loved them, crashed them. Almost got arrested because nobles REALLY do not like that. He'd gone really to get some of the white roses from the Bouquet. He presented them to Merrill and never told her where or why they were from.

#11 - Birthday
He'd be twenty three and a HALF winters soon. Yes, he still counted that way. Merrill told him it was cute. He'd do it FOREVER.

#12 - Blessing
"No thanks, I'll burst into flame!" Hawke quipped after Elthina asked. Making Anders laugh was also one of his goals. He'd mock blessed the ex-Warden later that afternoon, the man pretending to faint. Sebastian and Fenris never found these things funny. Losers. Spoilers.

#13 - Bias
"Can't you see how dangerous magic is?" Fenris asked. Hawke created hot orange flames around his hand. "No, I really can't." he turned it off and chilled Merrill's drink, putting his hands around it wiggling his eyebrows. She giggled again and he felt like a winner. Fenris rolled his eyes and Hawke stuck his tongue out.

#14 - Burning
Spiders were a lot less threatening when they were on fire dancing around and dying. In fact, they were fucking hilarious.

#15 - Breathing
If he had to spend extra time in the Deep Roads, he WOULD learn the spell that sucked the air and life from him that those Emissaries had.

#16 - Breaking
"What do I care about some old life Mother had!" "I'm sick of being in your shadow!" Hawke was sick of Carver, personally. Honestly. And he let him know, more and more, their mother very concened.

#17 - Belief
"The Maker has his hand in everything." Sebastian said. "Goodness, hope he's washed up." Hawke quipped. He was rewarded by Varric and Anders laughing. The Maker was an endless source.

#18 - Balloon
"And it would rise using hot air..." Hawke mused, scribbling on the table in charcoal. Anders and Varric looked at each other. "Okay, I'm not the crazy one now!" Anders said. "I'm not crazy!" Hawke said, frowning. Merrill didn't understand, but she spoke up anyway. "I like your drawing." Hawke beamed.

#19 - Balcony
Hawke went with Merrill to the stone balconey overlooking the even lower parts of Low Town, the wind blowing her hair slightly. He had a million things to say and he bit his lip, trying to choose. She looked at him and smiled and he just kept staring, smiling back.

#20 - Bane
"You think... what do you think of Merrill?" Carver asked him one day. Hawke frowned. "What?" "Think she likes humans?" Hawke was really getting sick of Carver.

#21 - Quiet
Aveline freaked Hawke out. She was really quiet and when she looked at you, it was judgement time. He felt like shouting, "I'm innocent" everytime she looked his way. No wonder she was a good guard.

#22 - Quirks
Merrill scrubbed her feet against her knee, Fenris did his neck all benty, Varric stroked Bianca, Isabela curled a bit of hair around her finger, Sebastian crossed his arms and did his royal pose, and Caraver sighed. A lot. Hawke watched. A lot.

#23 - Question
"Did you ever ask if Merrill likes humans?" Hawke drank down his mug. "I'm sure she does, but not you." "How would you know?" "I asked. I'm sure Merrill likes funny guys with a penchant for wizardry." "What?"

#24 - Quarrel
Apparently he was taking from Carver "again", but he didn't care. He'd had a few drinks, he was tired of bullshitting. He could take Carver anyday, magic or no magic and though everyone else tried to tone if down, it grew into a full on brawl. When it was over, Hawke tried to heal his brother, but he was rejected.

#25 - Quitting
"I don't want to go on your fucking expedition anyway." Carver hissed at the end of yet another argument, the fight still on his face even though it'd been a week. "I'm done with you." "FINE! ASS!"

#26 - Jump
Hawke walked with Merrill along the seawall, the Dalish elf walking up on the small wall, Hawke walking below. He held her hand easily, without much thought, helping her down. She stood right in front of him and they both blushed, Hawke speechless.

#27 - Jester
He had a joke for jest about everything. He was going to make Fenris laugh. He was.

#28 - Jousting
"Anders... all we need to do is get some horses!" Hawke said, another idea at the top of his head. "How about we say we did, but don't? Chances are, you'll fall off and stab yourself!" "...I thought we were friends?" "Not with that we're not. You're crazy!"

#29 - Jewel
Hawke gave Merrill a jewel. He told her it matched her eyes. When she asked what kind it was, he said, "I don't know, I'm not a damned Dwarf. I'm a guy trying to impress a girl!" to which Merrill said, "Ooh! Which one?"

#30 - Just
When Anders had episodes, he wasn't put off. He was fascinated. Justice was violent, the veins of blue lightning charging all over his skin. He found himself touching Anders's face, "Won't you show me?" he whispered seductively, Anders coming out of it. ...It got awkward then.

#31 - Smirk
He kind of kissed Anders, kind of, not really, but he found himself smirking at him and Anders rolling his eyes. It made him giddy.

#32 - Sorrow
Carver had gone when he'd gotten back. His mother wasn't handling it well, but Carver was still right here in the city. He was just the enemy now...

#33 - Stupidity
"GOD DAMN IT CARVER!" Hawke screamed out to the sea. He'd come out to the Wounded Coast alone, which was stupid. He'd come out here to cry and complain about Carver, who was stupid. It was all just stupid. Stupid upstart baby brother becoming a stupid fucking Templar.

#34 - Serenade
Anders was singing something under his breath while he healed. "Is that how you seduce people?" Hawke asked, smiling at him.

#35 - Sarcasm
"Sure, why not. I specialize in healing busted ear drums, so keep listening!" Anders responding. "Well you're just not charming or handsome at all!" Anders laughed. "I know..."

#36 - Sordid
It probably wasn't the best thing while he was really trying to court Merrill (wait, was he really?), but the kissing thing with Anders couldn't be good. If he could just unlock the secret of that lightning, that'd be good too. They kissed over the unconscious and delayed getting the door, even if it was an emergency. It wasn't serious right?

#37 - Soliloquy
"I do like Merrill. I do. She's wonderful and funny and umph, Maker those ears and... and... I wonder what Anders looks like naked." he chuckled to himself, licking his lips.

#38 - Sojourn
"They're raiding, I'm sorry -." "It's fine." Hawke had guest rooms and he was about to offer one, but Anders set up a bedroll next to the cellar entrance. "Just for the night..." Anders said, going to bed. Hawke stood there, watching him. "...this isn't what I had in mind for a one night stand..."

#39 - Share
"It is all right...right?" he asked, Isabela drinking her ale. "Of course, I share all the time. People share me. I'm a giver." Hawke laughed. She made him feel so much better.

#40 - Solitary
Anders didn't want to speak with him, Merrill didn't want to speak with him. He could go off on his own but... but it was weird.

#41 - Nowhere
"What do you mean you haven't seen Mother?" Hawke was very concerned, very, very concerned.

#42 - Neutral
Ha. Blood magic. Can't live with it, Can't live with out it. But Quentin didn't have an scruples and he didn't like sharing and Gascard was just a filthy Orleasian asshole and he was going to steal all of his research and why did mother have to go down here with him, this mage thing was harder than ever and Fenris wasn't HELPING.

#43 - Nuance
"It's not all bad, I mean, Merrill's doing all right!" Hawke argued. "No, blood magic is wrong. It's ridiculous to contact demons -." "THAT'S NOT ALL IT DOES ANDERS! ANDRASTE'S ASS!" he got up and left the clinic. Anders couldn't see grey and he was as fucking grey as it got.

#44 - Near
Hawke spent a great deal of time with Merrill in the Alienage. They talked about the Eluvian and elven things and magic things and personal things and held hands and pressed foreheads and he loved having her so close...

#45 - Natural
It wasn't a quick nothing. It was right and good and everything and he was glad it was Merrill because it could have never been Anders because Anders would never understand the cuts on his arms and hands and body like Merrill did, she knew what he knew and she knew it was perfectly all right and so did he, Maker, the tattoos did go elsewhere... everywhere.

#46 - Horizon
He'd taken to taking Merrill out to the Wounded Coast a lot and after romantic encounters with Bandits and wild dogs, they liked to sit in the sandy parts and watch the horizon and talk about the ocean and the sun and what it meant in all kinds of lore that they both knew. The green light that flashed when the sun went down was like Merrill's eyes and he told her so and then... they got horizon-tal

#47 - Valiant
"Even if he is crazy, Anders is right! We will not be oppressed and enslaved! There can be no more compromise!" he said. "Death to the Templars!" he shouted, Orsino paling. Merrill clapped.

#48 - Virtuous
"History is on our side!" Hawke told Anders, clasping his forearm. "We are right. We are the righteous." Anders gave him a kiss, more than a kiss and Merrill averted her eyes. "Ehhh... maybe not so...virtuous?"

#49 - Victory
"HA! YOU CRAZY BITCH!" Hawke shouted at the petrified statue of Meredith. His eyes were wild and he was nearly spent of his magic. He backed up, Anders catching him. He smiled back at him and held out his hand, Merrill grabbing it. He held it in the air, making a rude gesture to the Templars with the other, Carver putting his hand over his face.

#50 - Defeat
While there were mages who managed to get away, rumors reached him that even children had died at the hands of the Templars. While Circles were rising up, breaking, the Templars were trying to hunt them all down. And they were out of a home. It was fine, Anders and Merrill were both used to moving and he would just have to learn.

Kraise Hawke is a bit, well, crazy. He's an open blood mage. He wanted to learn to call demons, manipulate people, steal energy and manipulate blood itself. He knows plenty of normal magic, but he likes having a full arsenal. He was initially attracted to Anders because OF Justice and actually worked out a series of words that could draw the spirit out. Justice did not like being kissed and touched and purred at, to Justice, Kraise was a demon. He was dangerous and he told Anders so. Kraise never did get the secret of blue lightning, but he did get Anders, which was fine. He did like Anders, he liked kissing Anders at least.

But Kraise loves Merrill. In a very youthful, teenagery, obsessive, date-y way. He nearly moved into the Alienage, his mother scolding him for spending so much time there after they'd moved and learning everything he could about the Dalish from Merrill, to please Merrill even venturing to Sundermount to talk to the Keeper to try and learn things, though the Dalish don't share. He hunted a deer (read: burned a deer to death) and took it to Merrill (the antlers anyway) like a Dalish hunter and while it pleased her, it really just made her laugh. He accepted her blood magic, she accepted his blood magic, they talked of demons and Kraise genuinely wanted to fix the Eluvian. "What if we get another demon to help?"

Alas, Merrill didn't want to after the whole, POSSESSED KEEPER, HOLY SHIT I KILLED YOUR WHOLE CLAN thing. Kraise maintains a relationship with two people that makes Isabela jealous and he did miss his mother and hated she had to die that way but was more pissed that there were three practicing blood mages in town and no one wanted to share with him and Merrill. Those assholes.
