I got my shiny The Black Guardian Trilogy DVD set today! Three new, lovingly remastered Fifth Doctor stories for me to enjoy - it doesn't really get much better than that, does it? I'll be watching and reviewing (in the loosest possible sense) one story a day.

After being really impressed with Fabian Nicieza's first Nightwing issue in the current Bat-family crossover The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul, I started reading Chuck Dixon's run today, and I'm genuinely surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. I'm a Kyle Rayner fan, and damn proud of it.

Note: I like all the Green Lanterns, but Kyle's my favourite.

I have to say, Rilo Kiley's new album Under the Blacklight is disappointing. Up to and including 'Dreamworld' it's fantastic and I was honestly thinking "dunno what everyone is complaining about", and then it suddenly descends into shit. 'Dejalo' and 'Give A Little Love' are awful, and I never thought I'd ever say anything by Rilo Kiley was awful. ( Read more... )
