Thingses

It's January, and I'm wearing sandals.  I just wanted to put that out there.  (And no, I'm not one of those bizarre people who enjoy wearing shorts year-round.  This is definitely out of the norm.)

Work has quickly resumed its soul-crushing busyness.  I especially enjoy that so much of  my job depends on other people who can't get things to me on anything that resemles a timely basis.  I do, however, take great pleasure in my nagging-yet-respectful emails.

Still eviscerating along in Warcraft.  I got to level 50 over the weekend, and UPS will be delivering Burning Crusade to my door later today.  I'm still 8 levels too low for the Dark Portal, but I think I can get there in another 2 weeks or so.  There was something else I was going to say, but it's gone now.  Obviously wasn't too interesting.

Spent some quality time in Barnes & Noble over the weekend.  The Chief Residents gave me a gift card for Christmas, so I treated myself to some new books.  I think they're all the first in a trilogy, so there will be much shopping in the future, but I'm looking forward to some good reads.  There was some kind of snarky comment I wanted to make about the books they're really pushing on the tables right next to the door, but I can't remember that now, either.  It was really witty, though, I'm sure.

Knitting continues, halfway through another pair of socks, blah, blah, blah.  I need to sew the eyes onto my uber-cool dragon scarf, and maybe finish that sweater I've been knitting for about a year.  Hard to think about that while I wear sandals, though.

Watched part of the Golden Globes last night - definite points to Sacha Baron Cohen for giving what was probably the crassest thank-you speech in awards show history.  Even more points to his co-star for acting like he was okay with his anus being mentioned on national TV.

Can I just mention how much I love Republic of Tea's Comfort and Joy blend?  I really wish they made it year-round.  Petition, anyone?

Okay, have a lunch conference that I need to leave for in 3 minutes.  I bet I can send at least one more nagging email in that time. :)

Have a good day, everyone.
