Not quite in the Christmas spirit yet...
I am so ready for a nap. :) Saturday NQH had to go into work, so I took advantage of his being out of the house and got a good portion of my wrapping done. I have one gift for him left to wrap, but I need to get a box for it first. I then turned into a baking fool for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday I made 6 dozen gingersnaps, and the dough for a batch of gingerbread men persons.
Sunday I made fudge (5 pounds), played a little Warcraft, and baked and frosted 10 dozen gingerbread men persons. My creativity was a little sapped by number 100. By the end of the day, I wasn't feeling so hot.
Monday I've got a well-settled cold hanging out in my head area. Sore throat, cough, congestion, all kinds of fun stuff. Went home from work as soon as recruitment was finished.
Tuesday I was tapped to cover for the Chair's assistant, who is on vacation, and got very little done.
Now its Wednesday, I still feel crappy (I woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep), and I have a mountain of things to do before I leave work at 1:00 on Friday. I spent several hours over the last few days working on a PowerPoint presentation for a meeting today, only to be told that the Chair wants to talk about something else, and we won't need the presentation until next month's meeting. Ugh.
On the upside, NQH and I did mail out the majority of our gifts last night, so I'm hopeful that everything will arrive by/on Saturday. I even finally managed to mail my friend C's birthday gift. Her birthday was November 5th. :) I have completely given up on sending out Holiday cards this year. I had really meant to, but I just don't think it will happen. Maybe I'll do a "Christmas in July" mailing.
I'll be glad when 1:00 on Friday rolls around and I can just do some hard-core relaxing for a few days. NQH is getting me an ice cream cake from Ben & Jerry's for my birthday on Sunday, which I'm really looking forward to. :)
