Harry Potter Notes

I finished HBP a few days ago (yes, slow, I know), but was too busy to say anything about it. In all honesty, I don't have too much to say anyway.

1) I think this book is much better than OotP, mostly because the basic plot did not drive me up a wall with its complete uselessness. Also, Harry was a lot calmer and only broke out the ALL CAPS once.

2) Thank God Dumbledore managed to find his sense of humor again. I was wondering where it had gone.

3) Is anyone else disappointed in Snape's choice of nicknames? I would have thought he was cleverer than that. Then again, it's better than Lord Voldemort: Master of Anagrams.

4) So totally called the death, thank you.

5) Did not call Snape, though. Whoa. He is hardcore now, buddy. And making my humor a lot less funny.

6) Slughorn as a Slytherin who is not totally evil? GO ON!

7) Ginny was a little out of left field. I mean, it didn’t surprise me, but it seemed like one day he just looked at her and, whoa! Harry is angry about Ginny/Dean!

8) Wow, is this me actually feeling sorry for poor, destined to fail Draco?

9) R.A.B.? Is this someone we already know or a new character? Because the only person I can think of with an R.B. is Regulus Black, and that would piss me off for randomness. Though it would explain why he died so damn quick.

10) If Rowling makes Harry one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes, I will laugh my ass off. Or, alternatively, I will have to bang my head against a wall until I bleed from the nose. I think if it was really Nagini, thus derailing an obvious, angst-ridden conflict, I would be much more amused.
