Work has been utter hell on top of total mayhem these days. I'm so glad the weekend is coming. I've spent the past week dealing with a large number of incredibly pissed off students. There were nearly riots in the halls the second night of class. Several fights nearly broke out in the line for the registrar's office. Students who were placed on academic suspension for their GPA or similar reasons have been especially unpleasant about not being allowed back to school this quarter.
Thank god the first week of the new quarter is over with. Here's hoping that next week is calmer.
On a good note, I did sell two necklaces today. One to a teacher, the other to a woman who works in the Marketing department. Go me.
On another good note, the goverment gave me nearly $900 total for my tax refund.
On a random note, I ate sushi for the first time on tuesday. It's an experience I do not think I shall repeat. Adam, however, absolutely adored it. I will say one thing, though. Cooked eel is perhaps the most tender meat I have ever eaten. It pretty much just melts as soon as you put it in your mouth..by the time you're trying to figure out what it tastes like, it's already gone.
Oh, and wasabi in large amounts is Very Bad if you're prone to heartburn, like I am. We had to stop at a gas station and buy Rolaids afterwards.
