~Chapter Twenty-One~

JaeJoong woke up to a ticklish feeling against his neck. He tried brushing it away by turning to his side; yet, he still continued to sense a certain presence disturbing him.

He groaned lowly as Yunho latched on to his ear with his lips, kissing it gingerly, “Hey Jae, you awake?”

“I am now” he whispered.

Yunho stroked his cheek with the back of his hand, “are you sure you’re ok with me going back to work today? Because if not all you have to do is the word and I’ll stay.”

He smiled, “it’s fine, really.”

“If you need me at any time of the day just give me a call ok?”

“I will, so stop worrying will you” he scolded.

“I can’t help it” Yunho whined, pressing his lips against the JaeJoong’s, “I feel a bit guilty to be leaving you here by yourself.”

“Well you shouldn’t, Junsu already said he’d come over in another hour to spend the day with the four of us.”

“Alright then, if you say so. I love you” Yunho told him, pecking his lips once more before leaving to go to work.

“Yeah yeah, I know that already” he teased.

Yunho surprised him by reaching for his arms and pinning them forcefully above his head. “What was that?” he asked, dipping his head down to nibble on his birthmark located on his upper neck, aka the most sensitive part of his body.

JaeJoong bit his tongue harshly to keep from moaning, but once Yunho’s pink flesh made contact with his skin once more he gave in. “I-I said I l-love you too” he stuttered.

Yunho grinned as he retreated backwards, “that’s what I thought.”

JaeJoong smiled back at him and watched him disappear out the door to leave the house for good.

“Shh, its ok, don’t cry” Junsu told In-Su reassuringly as he held the child in his arms while bouncing him up and down at the same time.

JaeJoong was busying himself taking care of Na Young. He fed her lunch before giving her medication and telling her to go back to sleep so she could let her aching body rest some more. He then placed a wet towel on her head to allow the fever to cool before kissing her on the cheek and exiting her bedroom quietly.

“Hyung, you need to change Ji Hoo. I can smell him from way over here” Junsu scrunched up his nose.

JaeJoong smiled down at his small bundle of joy before taking him welcomingly in his arms. He brought him over to the changing station in his room and replaced his old, used diaper with a fresh, new one.

“Is it safe to breathe again?”

“Yes Su, you can stop holding your breath now” he laughed.

“Ugh, finally. Your babies might be cute and all, but they sure do stink.”

“Really, which human being doesn’t when they do no. 2?”

Junsu snickered at him before asking, “What should we do with them now? We’ve already fed, burped, bathed, and changed them?”

“Hm, they look tired. Maybe we should put them to sleep.”

“That’s impossible. In-Su won’t stop crying. I think it’s because he wants you.”

“That, or the fact that you’re holding him so awkwardly. Here, give him to me.”

Junsu followed his brother’s order, and once In-Su was in his mother’s arms, he snuggled close to his chest and all of his crying ceased immediately.

“Why don’t you try putting Ji Hoo to sleep, but I’ll be honest, he’s the hardest out of the two to go to sleep.”

“Great, this'll be just perfect” he remarked.

It took both Junsu and JaeJoong approximately two hours to get the twins to fall asleep. Once that was taken care of and the household was at peace again, the two brothers escaped to the kitchen to get themselves something to eat.

“Thanks for coming today to help out” JaeJoong told him.

He waved him off, “its nothing, don’t worry about it. Besides, I find it kinda fun.”

He stared at Junsu dumbfounded, “you find this fun?”

“In a way yeah.”

“Clearly, you need to spend a week here at the house to see how things are for yourself. The boys act more worse then they are now. They probably sense they have company so they’re trying to be on their best behavior for you” JaeJoong chuckled.

“Aw come on, don't sell the twins out like that. But I really can’t wait for them to get just a little bit older. They'll be so fun to play with when once they’re at least 3 months old.”

“Yeah, but I’m kinda hoping time wouldn’t go by so fast. I mean they’re only this young once in their lives.”

“That’s true” he agreed.

Junsu offered to bring the hot and heavy pot over from the stove to the dining table for them to eat since he knew that JaeJoong was still recovering from his operation from a few weeks back.

“Does it still hurt?”

“A little, but definitely not as much as before."

The house phone rang suddenly and JaeJoong quickly went to answer it.

“How much do you wanna bet that’s Yunho calling?” Junsu smirked.

JaeJoong rolled his eyes playfully at him before picking up, “Hello?”

“Hey babe, how’s it going?” Yunho’s voice boomed through the other line.

JaeJoong slowly glanced over at Junsu who was still eyeing him intently.

“Good, how about you?”

“Fine. So no trouble with the kids?”

“No, Junsu was helpful a lot today.”

The latter smiled victoriously as his prediction turned out to be true and continued eating lunch as JaeJoong was still chattering on the phone.

“You know, it has only been about four hours since you left for work.”

“I know, but I was worried.”

“About me?”

“No, Junsu.”

“Junsu? Why him?” he chuckled.

“Because he’s clumsy and I figure he’ll screw things up sometimes.”

“You really need to give him more credit than you’re already giving him.”

“He knows I just love to tease him.”

“What are you guys talking about me?” Junsu yelled at them.

“Its nothing, don’t worry” JaeJoong reassured him.

“I don’t believe you, but then now, I’m too hungry to argue with Yunho” he told him, devouring more of the food JaeJoong prepared for them.

JaeJoong smiled and went to sit on the couch in the living room where he could have some privacy alone, “so what’s up?”

“Hm, you know the usual. My first day back to work after two weeks and I already have a scheduled meeting with two clients and a business conference. Aren’t I lucky?” he asked sarcastically.

“You’ll only have to endure it for a few hours more and then you’ll be back home here with us.”

“Truthfully, I already wish I was. In fact, I kinda want our roles to switch just so I can spend more time with the kids.”

“What about spending time with just me?” JaeJoong asked provokingly.

“Now you know I’d need more than just a day if it was just the two of us alone, right?” he retorted seductively.

He smiled at Yunho’s response and nibbled on his bottom lip, “Going to work with that kind of mindset is really bad. You should get your head out of the gutter and focus more on your work.”

“It’d be better if you were physically here with me.”

“That’s exactly what I’m talking about.”

Yunho opened his mouth to say something more, but a knock on his office door halted his actions.

“It’s time we get going to the conference Yunho-shi” his secretary informed him.

“Ok, I’ll be right out” he told her.

She nodded and shut the door quietly behind her as she left. Turning his attention back to his phone conversation with JaeJoong, Yunho sighed, “I guess I should get going.”

“Ok then, see you later tonight.”

“Yeah, ok. Bye Jae.”

“Bye.”

JaeJoong frowned disappointedly as his phone call with Yunho had come to such an abrupt end. Nevertheless, he stood up and rejoined his brother in the kitchen for lunch.

“You ok?” Junsu asked him when he saw him returning to the kitchen in a sluggish manner.

“Yeah, I’m just a little tired.”

“You should take a nap after your done then. I can take care of Na Young and the other two in case they wake up.”

“Thanks.”

JaeJoong picked up his spoon and gathered some food on it before stuffing it in between his lips. “Hey Su, isn’t your date with Yunho’s friend tonight?” he remembered suddenly.

“O-oh, right.”

“You seem nervous."

He shook his head, “I’m not nervous.”

“You just make sure you put on a good first impression so Dong-Wook will like you and ask to go on a second date” he said, nudging his shoulder.

Junsu laughed half-heartedly, “don’t worry; I’ll give him an impression he’ll never forget all right.”

“You can leave early if you want to prepare for your date. I think I’ve got everything under control here for now.”

“I’ve got plenty of time. I think I’ll hang out here for a while until Yunho comes back, no big deal.”

“Are you sure?”

“Positive.”

“I’ve met Dong-Wook before. He really isn’t a bad guy. He’s decent looking, polite, sincere, responsible, he also knows how to cook and clean” JaeJoong said, putting much emphasis on the last part of his sentence.

“Baby steps hyung, I’m still working on them.”

“Don’t take too long or else you might end up with no one who’s willing to accept you for who you really are.”

Junsu’s smile faded as he thought of the only person who was able to put up with him all this time, who stuck by his side all through good times and bad, the same person who had been hurt by him for years now.

There is someone hyung, there has been and always will be Yoochun. I want to tell you, but for now, please forgive me for lying to you like this…

Junsu felt his chest tightening at the small confession made in his head. Soon, he thought, soon it will all be over.

Location: Paris, France

“Please add more light to this section right here” Changmin instructed pointing to a certain area of the model he was currently photographing.

“Good, good, turn a little to the left … ah, right there! Don’t move!”

He snapped a few more pictures of the man before switching to three other locations and calling it a day.

“Thanks for the hard work” Changmin’s client went around and said to each and every one of the staff members.

In the meantime, Changmin returned back to his computer to recheck the pictures once more. His client, Kibum, slowly approached him from behind without his knowledge.

“They look great” he complimented.

“Thanks” Changmin murmured over his shoulder.

Kibum dug his hands deep into his pants pocket, “I was wondering when you’d come back.”

“Why? Were you waiting for me or something?” he scoffed.

“… Something like that.”

Changmin froze, slowly standing up from his position, he turned to him, “What do you mean?”

Kibum shrugged, “You’re just different from the others … in a good way of course.”

Changmin raised an eyebrow at him, “I see, well, you shouldn’t get too used to it. I’m thinking of relocating to another city for my job.”

“Paris getting too boring for you?”

“Something like that.”

Kibum smiled, “You should change that then.”

“How?”

“Come with me, I’ll show you.”

“This isn’t a trick is it?” Changmin asked him suspiciously.

He laughed, “not at all. This is just strictly business.”

The two walked over to a secluded area in the studio before Kibum backed him up against a wall with his palms resting on either side of his head. The latter leaned upward slowly, pressing his lips against his for a tender kiss. Changmin stared at him dumbfounded and pushed him away carefully.

“W-what are you doing? I thought you said this was strictly business.”

“It is, no one has to know about this” he whispered, pecking Changmin’s lips once again. “I like you.”

Feeling Kibum’s breath tickling his face, Changmin was being pulled into his trance. Sure, his feelings for Yunho had faded away a little, but his feelings for Kibum had always been there, and now, it was continuously growing larger. The way his lips were aligned, his eyes, his physique, his personality. Kibum appealed to him in more ways than one with his existence basically.

“In all honesty ... I kinda like you too” Changmin admitted with a sheepish grin, grabbing his waist and lifting him up for another kiss.

As they emerged themselves in a make out session, they heard footsteps approaching closer and quickly pulled apart.

“Ah, there you are Changmin-shi. Could we see you over here for a bit, there’s something urgent we need to talk to you about?” one of the staff members asked

“Um, s-sure.”

He shot Kibum an apologetic look as he followed the man towards the set. Kibum however, didn’t reciprocate the same sympathy, he’d be sure to get Changmin alone again so they could continue where they left off.

*~*~*~*~*~*

“Thanks a lot for coming to watch over Jae and the kids” Yunho said to Junsu as he was leaving.

“It’s nothing, I’m just glad to help. Call me if you need anything else ok?”

“Sure” he smiled. Yunho thanked him once more as he exited the front door and turned back on his heel, heading straight for their master bedroom.

He thought JaeJoong looked so angelic sleeping so soundly on the bed. Then again, he felt sorry that he had so much to do when it came to caring for all three of their children. Yunho changed quickly and slipped into bed besides him, snaking his arm around his waist and pulling their bodies closer to one another.

Still half asleep, JaeJoong smiled with his eyes closed. “Hey baby.”

“Hey” JaeJoong replied, “I’m sorry I didn’t make dinner, it’s just -”

“Shh, it’s ok. I know it’s hard nowadays for all of us, especially you. This will take time to adjust to.”

JaeJoong turned towards him and buried his face in his chest, “Thanks for being here Yunho.”

Yunho smiled, “I’d always be here for you. I do love you after all, too much to give you up to anyone else.”

“I can’t let you go either.”

“I’m not really giving you much of a choice” Yunho chuckled.

JaeJoong laughed along with him, “You really are something.”

“Something good I hope.”

“Definitely.”

Yunho stroked his hair softly and murmured, “I love you, don’t you ever forget that.”

Bearing those words in mind, JaeJoong drifted back to sleep in Yunho’s warm and inviting arms.

*~*~*~*~*~*

Yoochun had a wide smile plastered on his face as he made his way over to his car in the parking lot after a long day of work. He was anxious to go home and get some rest, but more importantly, to see Junsu once more. He slid into the driver’s side and took off down the road.

Yoochun came to a safe halt at a red light not long after he drove off from his workplace. He heard soft music playing and turned to his right only to see a very romantic, very elegant Korean restaurant.

He eyed the place and admired its décor. It appeared very chic dressed in dark colors, perfect for a sentimental night out. Yoochun quickly jotted down the address and made a promise to himself to bring Junsu here on their next date.

He checked to make sure the red light was still on before going back to admiring the place. It was full indeed with couples having a good and relaxing time with one another. At the corner of his eye, Yoochun caught sight of a man whom looked somewhat similar to Junsu. He squinted at the same guy and realized then that it was Junsu.

Sitting across from him was a man Yoochun didn’t recognize. Whoever he was sure was good at making Junsu laugh quite an awful lot. Yoochun clutched onto the steering wheel as tight as he could as it hit him then, hard. The guy must’ve been the same one Junsu was supposed to meet on his blind date tonight. It was silly to think Junsu would go see him though after his deal with Yoochun the day before, but his eyes told him otherwise.

Cars beeped at Yoochun to continue driving once the light turned green, but he was too hurt to leave right then, so he didn’t the very first thing his mind instructed him to. He parked his car off at the side of the road and got out slowly, his eyes never leaving Junsu’s. He walked a few steps towards the large front window of the restaurant, a perfect place that was easy enough for Junsu to catch sight of him.

*~*~*~*~*~*

Junsu clasped his hand around his wine glass and brought it up to his lips to drink. He glanced around the room nervously, sensing some sort of guilt feeling in the pit of his stomach. He knew that if Yoochun ever found out he was here, he’d get really upset with him which was the last thing he wanted to happen at a time like this.

As he was beginning to feel light-headed, he glanced out the window, imagining the cool rush of cold air slapping him on the face. He met a pair of eyes that caused his heart to stop beating instantly and saw what he feared the most in his facial expression, Yoochun’s weak heart breaking apart into small pieces, like glass.
