Yesterday, rikibeth and I went to New York City to have lunch with ellen_kushner and to see Edward II. The show was as 2 pm and lunch was at noon, so in order to make sure that we got there on time, it meant getting up not that much later than I normally would for work. It's not as hard to get up early for something you actually want to do, though.

I got my packet of information containing my official job offer paperwork on Saturday. I guess the compromise they struck with the Saturdays is that I'll be doing every other Saturday. Okay, fine. Apparently, possibly, despite my calling them and telling them to hold the packages, which they managed to do with ONE of them but not the other, the post office in CA managed to lose (or at the very least temporarily misplace) Adam and Smith... the bears. devilmuse got one of the packages, but not the other. I swear the last 25 minutes have lasted two hours. I do something, expecting when I check the clock 20 minutes or half an hour will have passed, and it's more like 5. Bleah.
