You know what?  I'm quite tired of pretending that everything's okay.  It isn't.  I'm literally falling apart from the inside out.  In the nine weeks since Tobie was born I've had the following procedures:

• Upper endoscopy (EGD)
• ERCP (endoscopic surgery)
• Echocardiogram
• Gastric Emptying Study (eating a radioactive egg)
• Head CT Scan

The Cost of Doing Business
Most people know I changed jobs a month ago. The job itself is terrific. I love my client, my sort-of-but-not-really-boss is great, the work is interesting and challenging, the commute doesn’t suck, and the price is right. So I'm having this ridiculously serious craving for pancakes. I want them. Desperately. I feel like I would do a lot for a good pancake right now. Except, um, I generally don't care for pancakes.
