I found that the Boston Dynamics folks have their own YouTube page where you can see all the official vids of this critter for yourself. This one shows Big Dog using LIDAR to track and follow a human being through the woods. It's totally autonomous, no human handler/driver :O ( Read more... )

I dunno if you've been keeping up on the field of robotics lately, but every so often I'll go to YouTube to check for new videos of Big Dog, the "mule" being developed by Boston Dynamics for military purposes.
