bikebike

So my friend Aaron came over and we watched some serious trash TV for a while
before going for a bike ride. He might model for me another time, which is cool :)
He's a cyclist, too, which is also cool :) I had this quasi-plan to ride out to the
beach but the weather today wasn't at all inspiring me. It's been chilly overcast
and cool :P So instead, he brought his bike out on the train and I rode with him
back into town, through town, and out to the Jamaica Plains area where he lives.

Here's the route:

It was a good long ride, and even though we both live on opposite sides of Boston, the
same Orange Line train connects the neighborhoods. We live one stop away from the this end,
and he lives one stop away from the other. This means that I can just hop on the train home,
and it's a straight line shot. Which is cool. Because I'm tired.

Anyway, I'm still sorting out my studio space, but it's functional now and I'm happy about
that. I have a local social life and I'm happy about that, too. Everything isn't perfect, but
it's moving along :) Rolling around through the city with somebody new to certain ways through
it re-introduces me to it and that makes me happy. He's leaving town at the end of the summer,
so there's some time left to do the Minuteman Trail out to Walden Pond, and so on. Yay for bikes!
I've done that trip alone before a couple times, but really I shouldn't. Not alone, I've had my
first flat with Artemis (fortunately only a mile from home), and having a partner for long rides
is just sensible.

We stopped by some local folks because he doesn't know too many, from what I gather. Yay for
friends :)

I'm having coffee and about to get on the train to go home.

Kit picked me flowers today! Well, one flower with lots of little blossoms. It's very very cute.
If the day were sunnier, I would've painted it. I made her spetzle yesterday for lunch and she
said it was good :) That made me happy.

I found and fixed a typo on my resume :P

win, bike, city
