It was pushing 90 on Sunday when I was gardening (plenty warm for Wisconsin in May)...tonight it's in the low 40s, with light rain. And, I appear to have lost another battle on the project at work - it will be a big block of wacky extra work for me, and a mega-block of maintenance for...someone...down the road. No one's quite stepped up to claim ownership of future maintenance yet.
I took garbage to the curb today because it sure feels like I've worked 4 days already this week.
On the plus side, there was an indigo bunting in the yard when I got home.
And dinner was an omelet made with peas, carrots, asparagus, chervil, and parsley from the garden,
with 8-year-old govarti from
Capri Cheese. I really like their Bulgarian goat feta.
Talked to Mom for nearly an hour tonight - she's still tolerating the Xeloda really well, and it seems to be working well. Hopefully this will continue for some time yet - it's nice to have some breathing room on all that.
Brother-who-formerly-lived-under-an-overpass still seems pretty giddy with his new situation. He's calling family members on a regular basis, asking for advice on all sorts of nutty ideas for inventions and such, and just generally conversing. He likes to cook - paella, and he doesn't let anyone else use his kitchen. Other than that, I think his apartment consists mainly of a pool table and a bed, and maybe now a computer.
