So the last few days have been a bit of a pain computer-wise. Despite having a firewall and a virus checker etc on it, it still managed to pick up a bug. It wasn't inclined to cooperate with being eradicated and in the end I had to restore to factory settings and then bring it forward a step at a time. It was a quiet Christmas in our household. After opening our presents on Christmas morning, we put the turkey in the oven. Dinner was lovely, if I do say so myself. The wind seems to have stopped, thank goodness. The tail end of Hurricane Katia was making its presence felt yesterday. So, as predicted, yesterday was a long day. Our lift arrived at 8.30am and I finally stumbled back in the door again at just going 11pm. I'm grateful for it being a quiet day today since tomorrow promises to be a hectic one. Sound Off is finally here. Our band, along with those of others in the county, have been preparing for this for months. Yesterday Mum and I went to see the RSC's production of 'Morte d'Arthur' at Stratford. Because it was going to be such a long show (its running time was just under four hours long), we decided to stay overnight. It was a busy weekend. On Saturday I and a couple of others headed off to the Curve, a local theatre. In March 2011 there's going to be a massed scout and guide bands event there so the various instructors were being given a tour and a chance to ask questions so that they can work out what they're doing for each of their bands' time slots. So... the water thing. It turned out that there had been a small, unnoticed but clearly persistent leak for some time. The water had built up and built up beneath the bath until whoosh!
