Random Ramblings...

It was a quiet Christmas in our household. After opening our presents on Christmas morning, we put the turkey in the oven. Dinner was lovely, if I do say so myself. The recipe for the potato gratin and the stuffing worked great, and the turkey was lovely and moist. I was also really pleased with how the sachertorte turned out.

We didn't really do much that day or on Boxing Day. We didn't even really have fixed meals on Boxing Day. We just went and made ourselves a turkey sandwich or something when we were hungry. I received the new Pratchett, 'Snuff', for Christmas, so I was reading that. Mum watched her Andrea Bocelli DVD. Dad fell asleep on the living room floor. Fairly typical really *lol*

We had Nanna Edie around yesterday; she had spent Christmas at my Uncle's. We made a nice beef and mushroom pie out of one of Mum's new cookbooks, which turned out beautifully and we'll have to make again. Then chatted, watched a bit of TV and the usual sort of thing.

Tomorrow evening, Mum and I are off to the theatre at Stratford. We're going to see their Christmas production of 'Robin Hood'.
