Someone finds 'Atlantis' on North Atlantic Ocean Bottom

Okay, they don't have mermaids, flying saucers, or sorcerous serpentfolk enslaving barbaric humans, but it's still a vastly impressive discovery: Lost world of Atlantis landscape discovered at the bottom of the sea.

Basically it's a section of sea floor that was once part of the surface (I know, that's no surprise), but with the difference that this chunk of land rose and sank again within geologically swift timeframe of a mere 2.5 million years. I'd say more but everything that needs to be said is at the article proper.

Between this and what I learned at the Natural History Museum about the 'Alaskan Shangri-La' during the last Ice Age (i.e., a mountain-framed lowland, cut off completely from the surrounding land, filled with Pleistocene megafauna and cavemen), I'm wondering what other little surprises the planet's history still has waiting.
