I'm looking to place a horse in a pleasure/trail home. He is beginner-safe and worth his weight in gold to the right match. 15.2 hand bay gelding with 4 whites, most likely a Quarter Horse cross, maybe some Thoroughbred thrown in somewhere. Our vet's current, educated guess places him at 13-15 years old. He is located in Norfolk MA and I am asking a reasonable fee to make sure he ends up in good hands.
Jasper is nearly bombproof on trails, road/traffic safe. Trailers like a pro, behaves the same at home or away. No vices, doesn’t need shoes. Not a candidate for jumping due to past suspensory injury. He is sound for riding on the flat and ready for a family of his own.
Currently owned by a dressage rider, he also had Western training in his past. Jasper was purchased at an auction, has been given lots of love, and is ready for his forever home. Jasper is current on shots, Coggins, dental, deworming. Excellent home is a MUST for this sweetie!
Jasper's background: our barn borrowed him from a nearby lesson barn for the Komen Ride for the Cure, and I had a delightful ride on him that day. I wasn't shopping for a horse, though they mentioned he was for sale. Later, my trainer learned he was being sold at an auction along with several other horses from their lesson program. I knew he was too nice to have a sad ending, so I outbid the broker and brought him home. He is currently being used for trail riding and the occasional riding lesson.
