Review: Super!Epic, Super!Lovely stories taking place in an alternate Middle Earth where Bilbo makes an awesome diplomat and changes the entire course of history. Or the one where the One Ring is discovered a lot earlier and the fellowship has a lot more girls, or Dwobbits!!!.
This is my happy place epic Hobbit read. I usually come back to it at least once a year. Great characterization, happy endings where everybody lives, and lots of awesome female characters.
There are darker parts, but they never take over the story and are always put in their place by Bilbos steadfast cheer, Aragorn's determination, and Arwen's steadfast ability to stand up for herself and any girl who comes her way.
