Calling all writers!

Here's a chance to use your talents to do something really great for the Red Cross, to help with their famine relief efforts in East Africa.

Write an original short story - any length, any subject, taking inspiration from the theme "hunger" as much or as little as you like. We'll accept submissions in any genre, but particularly welcome horror, noir and fantasy to match our October release date, and our provisional title - "Horror for Hunger" Don't feel your story has to be too serious, either! We'll also consider original poems and artwork - every little helps...

Copyright remains with the author, though by submitting a story you allow us to e publish your story and distribute it for free to charity donors as part of this project. We might tidy up spelling and punctuation, but will not edit for style and content.

Calling all fans of genre fiction!

Once we've put our amazing collection together, we'll be sending it out as a thank-you to those who donate whatever they can afford to the red cross via justgiving.com (drop us an email to let us know you've chipped in). Watch this space for details!

So are you in?

Email judith dot reid at doctors dot org dot uk to discuss anything you like, let us know your ideas for submissions or to get involved any way you like. The deadline for submissions is 31st August.
