Well, it's been a while, so I decided to finally post. I suppose I should keep this up, but that would require something vaguely resembling effort.
Life is going fairly well overall, if a little strangely, and therefore, due to the excessive amount of angst in my past posts, I refuse to write about any of the crap going on. If you want to hear, ask me.
I am officially home for the summer (well, as most of you know, I have been officially home for the summer for a few weeks now, but that's not the point.)
The biggest news for those few of you who I may not have been raving at for the past couple weeks, I am officially running my LARP at Intercon (a LARPing convention in the Boston area). It's called Welcome to Scearbridge, and it's set on the first day of several new students at a highly unusual college. It is a non-system, one-shot LARP with prewritten characters. I may also be running it in Bellingham in August. If you'll be here then and want to play, drop me a line with your email. If you'll be anywhere near Boston in February, sign up for Intercon! And my LARP.
So far summer break has been wonderful, except for that pesky searching for a job thing. It has been filled with beautiful music, old friends, sweethearts, fun games and good news. Between Folklife in Seattle--where I got to see lots of people I missed at Rainy Camp this year--folk circle parties in town, concerts of amazing musicians, jamming with friends, and finally getting to go back to my songwriting group there has been as much good music as even I could wish for.
It's been wonderful to see all my old friends (well not yet all, but I'm working on it) who I have seen barely or not at all this year while I've been gone, and of course sweethearts, and assorted people to whom I cringe at attaching any label but all of whom I have missed. Ok now this is starting to get sappy, but you get the idea.
Being back at game has been fun, even if my D&D group keeps insisting on meeting on Saturday, all afternoon and evening. It makes it really hard to get there, but it is still one of the most . . . interesting games I've played in, and well worth it. In addition, getting to bring Mavevet into the Sabbat has definitely been an interesting experience so far. I'm curious to see where it goes.
Of course speaking of games and good news, I could continue for another three pages on my LARP, as anyone who has been around me can testify, but I will save your eyes and time and simply bounce quietly here in my corner.
I'm being called up to food, so I will abaondon you to your lives now.
