Today my mom and I went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences here in downtown Raleigh. It was really interesting -- besides just the fragments of the scrolls, they also had on display coins, pottery, ossuraries, and other artifacts from the same area of ancient Jerusalem where the scrolls were ( Read more... )

I feel very proud of myself right now -- I had the day off from work because my boss closed the store for Labor Day, and instead of staying in bed until 3 pm (which I did yesterday, haha), I got up, lit some candles and incense, put on some Beethoven and worked on my novel.
