First, a great Pip story. Someone taught him the letter names of the keys on the piano. So on Christmas I played a couple of notes (all white keys) and asked him what note they were, and he identified them all correctly. Then I played a G-sharp/A-flat and asked him what that was. Lately Pip's been really interested in airplanes. If he hear one overhead, he'll say "airplane" and look for it and watch it go by. When we got his hair cut at the new kid-haircut-place, he found an airplane in the bucket-o-toys and clung to it for the whole cut (he did REALLY well for the haircut. Piece of paper came home with some of P's writing on it, and a little story from his para.

"I said, 'P., write your ABCs' and then he wrote the above"

And in the middle of the paper it says

He also brought home a great Valentine card where he wrote independently and cut out about 8 hearts.

Got up this morning, kathrynt and the wee girlie came to fetch me and the little lad, and we headed off to shop at Madrona Fiber Arts Retreat. I'd have loved to take some of the classes, but it just wasn't going to happen this year what with the babies and all.

wrog is off at a meeting with one car, and the other car is in a "needs two new front tires" state, so when Pip got bored, we went for a walk. There's a little shopping center a comfortable walk from home, and about half of the trip can be done through a woodsy park.
