Day 63---death of an old friend....
entry for March 15th,2006:
So the live journal people are messing up my entries...
Anyway...
We gathered in Right Block today, to remember an old friend...the POS system. Today was its last day with us...since the MATRA is coming tonight. Margy and I hung out the night before and decided that we were going to take a picture with it when all the guests were gone... and we did. Michael let us. If you have facebook... you can see it there, because i haven't figured out how to post pictures here yet...lol.
Anyway....saw another manager in regular clothes today: Josh Speed. He had to come in on his day off because he was the lucky manager to get assigned to help install the MATRA until 3:00 in the morning.
I was in the back, getting a Mouscar for a guest when i heard the familiar greeting of "Miss Jones." I turned around to see Josh in polo shirt, jeans and his manager's jacket. He was cutting out cards with cast members' names and new ID numbers for the MATRA on them.
"Josh...where can i find the blank Mouscars?" I asked.
"Head to Toe. Is Gabby here tonight?"
"Yeah...she's in Head to Toe," I said.
"Can you take this to her?" He said as he was cutting out a card.
"Sure," I said.
"Never mind," he said randomly. "We'll both just go up there."
So we walked up to Head to Toe and got the Mouscar and then i never saw him the rest of the night. I heard he was going to Texas for a wedding this weekend...so that's probably why he was the unfortunate one picked to help get MATRA installed.
You know, i really hope something goes wrong with one of the machines but that I don't do it tomorrow. It's going to be very interesting, with all the managers there and with trainers in every room to help us out.
Anyway...goodbye POS...nice knowing you...NOT. later.
