First Day of Meat ID and Fabrication

Apr 14, 2009 13:45

Well, today got off to a WONDERFUL  start.  My alarm didn't go off, and thank god my roommate had her alarm set for 6:15.  I had planned on getting up at 5 so that I would have plenty of time to shower, eat and head over to class without rushing.  But no.  I scrambled out of my top bunk when my roomie exclaimed OMG Emily It's 6:15!!!  I rushed to get in my uniform (thank got I had gathered it last night) and dashed off to class.  Once I got to class (I was on time, thank goodness), I realized that I had forgotten my apron, so I had to run back across campus to my third floor room and then run back.  I then proceeded to cut myself, not once, but TWICE while we were cutting this morning.  My fingers are starting to look like Tim Baker's.  The cuts are pretty deep too, and took forever to stop bleeding (several band-aids).  Fortunately, they don't hurt yet.  After class I was dying for a shower, but also starving, so I headed off to the APBC to grab a sandwich.  As I am now freshly showered, I need to soak my chef's jacket (lots of lovely blood stains (not mine though).  I am contemplating taking a nap and then doing my assignments for tomorrow.  Other than oversleeping and slicing multiple fingers open, class was great!
