I can't believe it. I have officially moved to the Culinary Institute of America!!!! XD
I HAVE A COLD. What the Heck?!?!?!?!?
I packed most of the car on Sunday night, but not anything that had liquid in it, since it is so cold. I figured having frozen laundry soap busting opening and leaking everywhere would not be a good start to my adventure. I am amazed at the amount of stuff I was able to cram into the car.
Yesterday was totally crazy. I couldn't sleep last night because I was so nervous, so I only got about 2 hours of sleep. We got up quite early so that we could get on the road. I wanted to be at the dorm early enough that I would have at least a little choice as to what bed and set up I was going to have. I was the second of my two roommates to arrive. I have the top bunk and a neat little corner with my desk and dresser. We have our own bathroom!!!! (Very excited!!!) The room was really intended for two people, but they decided to cram three people in here. I think this really annoyed one of my roomies.
I went to bed pretty early last night since i was REALLY tired and didn't feel too great. I woke up at 4:30 this morning. I didn't actually get out of bed until 5:30. I hadn't planned on getting up until about 6:15, but this worked out well, since I had plenty of time to get ready and there was not a rush on the shower.
Orientation is going well. Nothing terribly interesting. We had the general intro talk and met with people from various departments for final registration issues. I have to go take the writing assessment test in a bit. I hope the rest of the day continues to go well.
