Came home to find one of the babykeets huddled in the corner of their new cage. No problem, they do that all the time. Then I noticed its left wing: caught between the bars of the cage, bent backwards, and trapped between the bars and the plastic slats that encircle the lower part of the cage. It must have been there for hours, judging by the amount of poop in that spot. I freed it, and its wing looks the right shape, but I have no idea if it's still working right or how much it hurts. The keet fell right to sleep when I put it on the perch, and I don't blame it. Poor thing: it's been favoring its right leg for a couple of days, and now this! We'll probably need to take it to the vet on Monday, if I can get someone to give me a ride.
