Some of you may recall a post I made a few weeks ago, in which I was frustrated that my brother didn't seem to be planning to include me in his wedding.
Well. He called me and asked if I'd be willing to sing during the ceremony.
I've been singing since fourth grade. I occasionally got solos in middle and high school, but there were a few girls who were widely known as he ingers, so they tended to get the parts, which of course reinforced them as the go-to singers, so...cycle. And shy as I was, I wasn't able to break into it, but I always kind of hoped that someone, someday would notice that I can sing.
So. Sam's fiancee, Emily, comes from a family of singers. Her mom is a university music teacher. Emily and her sister sing in their church choir. And yet, he still wants me involved. He wants me to sing with them. It means a lot to me - probably more than he knows. I iz happy.
family,
