008 - ..but it took a turn for the good!

I’m sure all of you are incredibly curious (not) who I saw on the Formula 1 website as the winner of the race in Fuji. Well, let me tell you how I reacted, perhaps you can draw your own conclusions from there ;)

First:                        I saw the face
+0,010 seconds:    I saw the champagne
+0,020 seconds:    I saw the header
+0,025 seconds:    I shut my laptop
+0,030 seconds:    I died because I saw the winner
+0,040 seconds:    I died because I finally realized who the winner was

From that point on, I basically was shaking with unbelief and excitement until the finish flag dropped. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it on the official website. It just couldn’t be. Then I saw the race, shaking the whole race through - what if it was real?!? (which of course it was, they wouldn’t lie on the F1 website XD)

I must say, he drove brilliant. That man is just pure brilliance and that is why he’s my role model in the Formula 1 department. If you still don’t know who won, shame on you!

From left to right: Robert Kubica, Kimi Raikkonen & Fernando Alonso!

Fernando Alonso and his teammate Nelsinho Piquet, who came in 4th, which is amazing for his standards!
(We need a 4th step on that podium, Bernie!!)
I think a small part of Renault's major improvement over the last couple of races is due to the fact that due to that improvement, you are even more motivated to improve more! Face it: if you see P4 on your dashboard, are you not more determined to overtake the guy in front of you and take a podium? More so than if you see P18, I would think!

I can actually also see this happen in my life. When I got my first time under the 50 seconds, I was ecstatic (I use this word way too much lately) and it only motivated me more to get an even better time. I'd got a time which I previously classified as 'almost impossible for me', so why couldn't I aim for the 'absolutely impossible'?
