I knew it had to happen. LSU beat Texas tonight 70-60 in overtime. Such a bummer. But that's okay. Getting that far was awesome. Next year.

Today I can actually say it. I kept checking CBS, but only for seconds. Didn't even want to look at the score for fear of jinxing. Finally, I checked in on the game with, like, 14 left seconds on the clock. UT and West Virginia were tied 71-71. I knew it'd probably go into overtime and I'd just switch away again. I was watching a preview of the sports section of the 10 o'clock news tonight. They mentioned the Sweet 16 game between Texas and West Virginia and gave a score. I was all, "Woo! Awesome! Yes! Okay... Now we're in the Sweet 16! Today UT Men's Basketball beat out NC State 75-54 (ouch) to move on to the next round in the tournament. Up next is W. Virginia sometime between the 23rd-26th. YES! Oh, thank God. I knew if I tempted the Fates that it'd work. UT beat Penn 60-52 tonight. OMG. I was so worried, you have no idea. Now we get to play NC State in the next round. Gig 'em Aggies. Yes. I said it. And I wouldn't if they hadn't wiped the floor with Syracuse in the first round of the Dance yesterday. They put down the Orange's star guard that every sportscaster's been talking about lately - Gerry McNamara - and really kicked ass.
