I don't care for the RIP short cut to condolences...
these abbreviations we use online save time and space and (best of all) typing, but when we are writing from the heart about the death of someone we love, those are lousy considerations (IMO).
I've been mourning Andy Hallett's life by rewatching Angel's amazing Season 5, writing to Andy's parents:
Mr. and Mrs. Hallett
PO Box 924
Osterville, MA 02655
and small donations to the scholarship fund Andy help set up when he was a kid:
The Jason A. Fedele Memorial Scholarship
141 Winding Cove Road
Marstons Mills, MA 02648
or to the site set up by RavenU
here for heart research.
Tonight on
House they dealt with love and loss and suicide =
They killed Kutner! On House tonight, they killed off one of my favorite characters... and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that
Kal Penn, the star of
Namesake, has a major career and probably didn't want to be a regular with such a small role on House.... and it IS interesting to deal with suicide, the freaks at Fox even set up
a place online to discuss his death! How weird is that?!
It does seem creepy/weird to mourn the death of a character, although I'm sure that many of the 'kittens' still mourn Tara.
But then is it weird to mourn the real life actor I never met? I mean Andy is really gone, so young (just 33 years old). I will never know him, but I will watch him, his great work on
Angel and in Amber Benson's
Chance. I won't forget him.
