Waitress

I went to see Waitress today and I really loved it.  I was tempted to add it to my post from last night because although the movie is very much a romantic comedy, it also is sensitive to some very serious issue and problems that many women face.  I had read some reviews that felt that our heroine's husband was painted too dark, but frankly I've known men who were far more controlling and/or abusive... I didn't think the character was exaggerated at all.
I don't want to include any spoilers, except to say that it is very funny...but afterwards you will want pie.
And Nathan Fillion... you'll want him too.
LOL
The performances were all strong and interesting, I think Andy Griffith might get a supporting actor nomination which will push the movie on to Oscar consideration (I hope so).  It is really a gem of a movie (IMO).

BTW the movie is only in 116 theaters across the country, but made it into the top ten box office...  if you look at how much it made per screen then you'll see that Waitress was actually the #2 film in the country beating out Spiderman 3 by a lot!
