Movies: War of the Worlds
Really nice effects. Beautiful explosions. Interesting creepiness.
Could've ended about 5 minutes sooner.
Be prepared - this is modern times and a modern rendition. It's not the book word for word or anything. :) Then again, I just went to see explosions and for that, it was good.
Cruise (I spout weird shit in public) was decent. The child actors were believable.
If only I had been able to bitchslap the two young women that sat two seats to my right that were a non-stop buzz in my ear with their chatter. For that matter, the jerk that had his cell phone still on "ring", too. All I ask for is a nice Star Trek phaser that I can set on stun, so that they shut up in a sembelence of sleep and I can enjoy the movie.
