For some reason, Birdie didn't make it. I found it dead this morning. :( I don't know why. Maybe it had some internal wounds from the fall, that were lethal in the end... I don't know. :( Makes me even more sad because I know that it needed just a few more days before being able to fly.

Just a quick post - to show you the little fellow. I have to go out now, so I'll write more news later. It is more exhausted today, so I was able to take it in my hand - it didn't run away. But at least I was able to give it some water using the pipette (thanks for the advice, missingislands! :) ).

There's a little bird on my balcony. I think it's a common blackbird, but, being no expert, I can't be sure. It must've fallen out of the nest, somewhere just beneath the roof. It's not a newborn baby, but it can't fly yet. I'd like to save it, but I don't know how ( Read more... )
