Language Café
Recently, I saw someone on Dreamwidth had launched a Language Cafe, a public entry on which people could comment and hold discussions in any language they fancied, whether it was for practicing a language, for learning one, or just for fun. I thought this was a wonderful idea, so I'm launching a similar Cafe here on LJ. We'll see where it goes from here ^^
Basically, the idea is simple: start a comment thread by indicating the name of the language you're going to use at the top of the comment (as I just noticed we can no longer put titles in our coments, apparently...), then start chatting! If you like, include info on what you're here for (learning, teaching, practicing, just for fun...) and on your skill level. Start as many threads in as many languages as you like, respond to as many people as you like :)
And invite your friends! The more the merrier!
