So, this is my last week in limbo before I start back to work mostly full-time. Somehow I thought I'd get more done than I have. Really to be honest, I'm the sort that needs structured time.
Yesterday I went over to
trulinor's house to make a tent. Well, not a whole tent; an awning for our existing tent. Doesn't sound too hard. In fact, I brought extra projects because I thought I'd have time. I was wrong. Planning, measuring, cutting, folding and pressing four 1 1/2" hems, sewing it all and inserting 10 grommets took me six hours. *Blink* But at least now we have an awning. Unfortunately, we do not yet have poles for said awning, so it will not be making a debut at Trilliums as I had hoped. However, I must say it looks mighty fine.
This morning, I planned to work on house cleaning, but I let the cats out in the backyard and then got busy doing other things and forgot about them. For an hour and a half. When I checked Beo was gone. This caused me some stress, but after calling
theagentx somewhat embarassed and panicked, and being reassured that I shouldn't worry unless he wasn't back by tonight, he came back about an hour later.
In other news this week, I finally, after months of thinking about it, signed up for Ballroom lessons again. I just signed up for an introductory course - 5 lessons that I have to schedule in the next two weeks - and we'll see how it goes. I'm not sure how much I can afford to continue beyond that, but dancing is good exercise (and it forces you to use muscles you don't in thinks like running and cycling because you are moving backwards and to the side as much as you are forwards) and I have motivation to try to get back in shape.
Well, my second lesson is scheduled at 3pm - now I need to go see how much more work I can get done before then.
Cheers!
