You know what's the best thing to have when everything's really slippery? A pushchair [=stroller]! (With a child in, of course). *had lots of fun taking kids to school*
And after that little bit of silliness her comes the next chapter of My Immortal - I know, it's only been 2 weeks! Try not to faint. ;) Previous parts

Thank you! It was a lot of fun to write. :)
I liked the Giles POV, and now I'm curious about what he was looking up.
You'll get the story, don't worry. And I'm hoping Giles came across OK - I didn't want him as 'the bad guy' per se, more someone trying to judge a situation he can't really get a grip on. Buffy, who just wants to spend a little while in a fairy tale (and who can blame her?) is obviously not helping her own case.
I love that Jack keeps surprising Buffy.
I'm having a BLAST writing him!
My very favorite part was the "No. For mine."
Oh I'm so pleased! The line only came to me as I was writing (I've got pretty much every scene worked out already), and it was just perfect. My poor Jack! *hugs him*

pushchair=stroller y/n? You Brits with your wacky words.
I plan on reading and loving this when I get back from work tonight. Elisi fic = stress relief.
PS: Go you for being archived at The Crypt. I squeed when I saw that.

Yes, it's a stroller. *mutters about mumble-mumble colonials*

Aw, that makes me happy. And this chapter will be especially excellent in that capacity!

Well I'm in good company. :)

But anyway, story! Yay! Your Buffy voice continues to make me green with envy. You nailed her reactions here from her anger and hurt with Giles *growls at Giles* to her wavering between being unsure of Jack and wanting to embrace the carefree fantasy.
As for Giles *grumbles again* I am kind of on Buffy's side. I want him to try and go after Jack and face the consequences. Better than going after Buffy again and making her upset. *grumbles some more*

I'm actually thinking of asking her to take that down since I am pretty sure that plot bunny is now well and truly dead. But the image of wee!Liam on the cover of A:AtF #14 may have helped wake up one of my other ones so it all balances out.
Damn, I'm an awfully chatty colonial tonight aren't I?

I am happy to have brought cheer. :)

Squee. I keep meaning to re-watch some BtVS to remind me of her voice, but life continues to be busy and I forget. So I'm just winging it...

Oh good. It's a balancing act, but I'm glad to know that I'm apparently pulling it off. I don't want her to come across as dumb or irresponsible, but on the other hand I think she's really quite adventurous.

Heh. I think you're going to LOVE where I'm going with that plotline. ;)

Squee! *is very happy* (Also - must have taken you forever!)
You handled the "Buffy jumped right back in the saddle" issue better than pretty much any other fic I can think of.
Aw, thank you, that is praise indeed! Although it really helps to a) Have an actual v. 3-dimensional character to pair her up with, and b) That character to share *so* many of her issues! ;)
It's good that he's lying to her about certain things, because she would, no doubt, NOT be happy! LOL.
Jack is a wise man indeed. *nods*
Thank you again so much for reading, I'm gonna be smilin' all night now. :)

He is totally adorable, it's true! Like Jack, just angst free. (Have you seen his husband? They're just *such* a gorgeous couple...)

I love Giles being clueless and grasping at straws. I got both the sense of his trying to protect Buffy, and his trying to do the right thing. His conversations with Dawn and Andrew were particularly good. Love poetry in klingon-- hee! ::loves Andrew and Dawn::
Enjoyed the whole day-trip to Napoli; that was clever. The shopping and trying to pick up the waiter were fun; I got a sense of just what draws Buffy to him. And also what tends to mean their relationship isn't long term-- I caught his instruction to pawn the ugly ring down the road when he's gone.
Nice sense of foreboding in the conversation though; Jack is an accomplished liar, and I wonder if Buffy is starting to realize just how much?
Really enjoyed this chapter!

I've been impatiently waiting to get to this bit...

Oh good. I didn't want him to come across as a major jerk, whilst on the same time showing that this is how it comes across to Buffy. (Sort of - she just can't *explain* what's going on, because that would defeat the point.)

Dawn might also have complained [at length, and on Giles' bill] about how Buffy won't let her date Marco. Giles now knows almost everything there is to know about the boy in question, much to his chagrin.
