Whenever I take the trolley to and from work, I tend to doze off and have these rather weird psuedo-dreams. I tried to recreate what I saw in yesterday's psuedo-dream, but this is what I ended up with:

So I decided to try and make a comic out of an idea that came to me recently using the drawing tablet and Photoshop. Wasn't sure where to begin, so I figured I'd work on what would be the last panel and go backwards from there. This is what I have so far on that last panel:

While excavating my books from the basement, I came across a box. Photos and drawings from college. I scanned in some of the drawings - from my comic book class back in 2003. Will go back through the photos and negatives (yay that my scanner can do negatives!) this weekend and see what I can find. Anyhow, the drawings ( Read more... )

Back in the 6th grade, my class did a weekly Toastmaster's Club thing - in which three or four of us had to give speeches about anything. One of the speeches I sort of recall giving had to do with comics - drawing and such - which, of course, I knew absolutely NOTHING about. All I had to show during my speech is a 12-page book I made. This drawing has no name. I began with the base of the tree, the two figures, the branches and ended with the head of the figure below. Medium ballpoint pen. The shadow seen to the left is from holding the sketchbook in front of the webcam with a light source off to the side. Oh yes. I used my left hand for a starting line or two.
