Two Weeks Later

After two weeks off the mats and some diet changes I got back on the mats this week. My energy levels are way better. Fifteen minute warm up isn't kicking my ass any more. When class is over I'm tired, but not dragging myself off the mats and wondering if I'm going to die kind of tired. Which is so nice!

I stopped drinking all soda and limited my coffee to my travel mug in the morning. It's possible that I was dehydrated too. I'm drinking about 140 fluid ounces a day.

Desserts are limited, but not gone.

More fruits and veggies. And since Willa gifted me a flat bottomed wok I'm going to try making more stir fry veggie and tofu dishes. Also, since I work next to an Asian market I have no excuses really.

Breakfast has mostly been peanut butter on whole grain toast. Next week I'm switching to oatmeal.

Lunches are problematic and I need to plan those better. However I'm eating out much less than I used to.

I've also made myself have a small snack an hour before going to the dojo. I think that's helping a lot too.

According to the scales I've dropped about five pounds.

So, in conclusion, I'm feeling better, energy levels are better, and weight is going back down. I'm still irritated with the whole process, but I'm making peace with it.

Next week I'm going to try biking to work from Dom and Willa's house. Less scary traffic to contend with that way.
