Working on Stuff...

After a week of working my health stuff I'm still processing things.

I bought a filtering water bottle that holds 20 fluid ounces. I've been trying to drink at least four bottles work while at work. I drink a large glass before breakfast and a few more when I get home. My bladder is still working on processing all this water. I've cut soda out entirely.

Sugar is still a bit of a struggle. Not going to lie. I love my carbs. Just trying to balance them with proteins. Hard boiled eggs, low fat string cheese, and bananas are becoming my snacks of choice.

Can't address exercise. My back went tweaky and bad last week. It was hard enough making it through work. While I wasn't on the mats I did go and at least watch class.

Last night I did some yoga. My knee is getting stronger. I can drop into lunges and hold positions. I can even squat down again. Progress!

Roommate lent me her FitBit so I can track my walking. I've got another app I'm using that shows my daily food intake. Rather than looking to food you just take a picture of what you eat.


Looking at the pictures I wonder if I'm really eating enough? One thing it has really encouraged me to do is vary the color of food.

In general I'm feeling better, less tired, etc. The real test is when I hit the dojo tonight.
