WELL FIRST THINGS FIRST.

Yeah, so - Adobe Reader randomly disappearing from EVERYWHERE just when I need it is, uh, not cool.

I don't think it's been gone since I did the registry cleaner - so that shouldn't be the problem.

Plus the shortcut was located in the recycle bin (but, of course, the program itself is nowhere to be found)...

So last night my computer went absolutely spastic - I got all these pop-ups that looked like totally legit programs on my computer, saying things like, "You have 29 infections!" and listing viruses in everything - iTunes, Photoshop, Adobe Reader, etc. Viruses that AVG did not catch.
