Went shopping this morning. Had a most successful trip. First had breakfast, then went and bought Jojo a new shelf unit thingy for his flat (after the furniture shifting of yesterday) so now instead of a strange narrow table thingy from IKEA he owns a wheely shelf unit from ILVA. It's cool, and a way better idea for his flat.
Then we went to the computer store and got screenwipes (we both need them!) a new surge protector extension cable for Jojo's flat. And I bought a new memory stick (I have NO CLUE where my old one has gone. But I think it was only 512 anyway. My new one is 4GB. (You could buy that for £4 more than you could get a slightly posher-looking 1GB one. Go figure.)
Then we went to Decathlon and I bought some baggies for cycling in (shorts. Yes, I am fake-tanning my legs right now cos otherwise the glare from them will blind other road-users) and I got Ph a handle-bar bag.
And I saw some sunglasses I like (interchangeable lenses) but they didn't have a frame colour that was nice, so I put off buying them. Then I checked out the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative (possibly best bike shop ever) online, and found they had some nicer ones on special offer, so ordered them. Fate, yah.
Jojo says if my shoulder still sucks tomorrow, we'll drop in on a MIU on the way back down to Brighton tomorrow. Hm. Don't know what to expect. Almost certainly nowt. They'll jiggle it around and tell me to go to a GP if I'm that worried. I mean, this is the NHS. You don't even get X-Rays unless you may actually lose a limb. And even then you have to wait around for about 500 hours. When I dislocated my jaw it took 6 hours to even get looked at. And another two before there was space in X-Ray. The only bonus is you get free painkillers whilst you wait. (you have to pay for them once you've been shoved out of the door). And broken fingers I've always been sent away for 24 hours before a space could be booked for a doctor to decide if an X-ray should be had, and then another 4-5 hours before an X-ray could be done. Oh yes, the NHS is all about prompt swift relevant treatment.
