I was presented with my Adventure 100 badge on Monday. I shall sew it on to my new uniform shirt when I get it. (Annoyingly, GGUK is not allowing us to pre-order them, so it will not be arriving right at the start of October)
So What did I have to do to get my 150 points?
The whole list of challenges can be found
here, but this is what I did. (points in brakets)
I climbed a tree (10) a climbing wall (5) and did a high ropes course (10)
The whole district camp played a wide game in the dark using glow sticks last September. It was pitch black and we were stumbling around the campsite (10) There was also a campfire (5)
I went Kayaking on PGL (10) and took part in the district Swimming Gala (5)
I went and saw live theatre (10) This was my first proper Shakespere at Stratford.
I went to a Scottish Evening (10) This was emmzzi's Burn's Night housewarming. I tried Haggis for the first time and liked it.
I spent a whole day being pampered at Champneys (10).I also made a snow sculpture of a mini Tardis on Brownie meeting (5)
I attended the
Centenary Launch Party last September (10)
At the District camp we laid and followed tracking symbols (10)
I collected 100 signatures at the County Circus day in July (10)
I held a
50's evening (20)
There are 10 points somewhere else in there, but I haven't got my chart with me so I can't remember what I counted. I may have included the ice-skating (5) or kite flying (5) or having a TV actor come and talk to the pack (5). I'll have to get back to you on that one.
Thanks to my friends who helped me. Certainly most of the other Guiders didn't seem too keen. My Assistant Guider is only 5 points off getting the badge.
EDIT: Looking at my points, I did include ice-skating and the talk from the actor.
