Life, the universe, etc

 1) Yesterday was spectacular.  No contra, but Anne's baby shower (my cousin's going to have a baby boy!  And she lives in Philly, so I'm going to be able to babysit or just go visit and I'm really excited!) and getting dropped off by Rittenhouse square and going to B&N and then meeting up with Sloan & the Stonebacks and getting dinner and going to the Fish Fry (where I finally, finally figured out how to get into/out of tandem Charleston) and got a couple of really nice dances with random U Penn leads.  Took the train home, got to hear the end of Greg & Nicole's sea shanty/blues/spirituals concert, which was fantastic.  And had oranges to prevent scurvy.

2) Today is a day for Doing Work.  I wrote the rough draft of my Linda paper, edited the storyline of the adolescence one, and am really truly going to start that analysis now.  (Really.  Truly.  Because the story's now 6+ pages and I just need 3 pages of analysis (only needed 3 pages of story, but you know.  Things get complicated.)

EDIT:  Guys, it's a bad idea to be emotionally invested in your papers.  They take even longer to write than usual, and end up being ridiculously long.  (Current state of the Adolescence paper?  13 pages.  That's 6-and-a-bit of story plus 6-and-a-much-bigger-bit of analysis.  It only had to be 6 pages, MAX!)  I am sending it to my Mommy for editses and maybe she'll catch all the times that I switched tenses mid-sentence?
